A Few of My Favorite Things

Because I love sharing about my favorite things + I get asked frequently about products that help people live healthier lifestyles… this blog post is perfect!

The following things are listed in no particular order.

  1. Milk/Coffee/Hot Cocoa/Tea Frother - There are MANY different brands to choose from! I’m sharing one from Amazon that is most similar to the one I’ve been using, which is a game-changer if you add MCT oil, butter, or creamer to your coffee or other drinks. I mixed adaptogen herbal blends into my coffee or water sometimes, and this tool helps make it smooth & creamy!

2. CRZ YOGA Women's Naked Feeling I Buttery Soft High Waisted Yoga Pants Full-Length Leggings - There’s no need for a huge budget for workout or athleisure clothing, but it’s definitely a “thing” that good quality, well-fitting, cute pieces lead to higher confidence & a higher likelihood of wearing them and actually working out, right? ;) As a fitness instructor & coach… I have fallen in love with these yoga pants! I wear them in size Small, and there are several colors to choose from!

3. Plant-Based Naturally Clean Eats Bars - I don’t drink shakes or eat bars as much as I used to, and frankly… it’s really difficult to find a bar that meets the nutritional criteria I desire (simple high quality ingredients, low sugar, pleasant texture & taste, etc). I found NCE through Instagram, and the owner Jessica created these bars because of HER desire for a quality bar… lucky us! They’re available on her website & Amazon (including a sampler box of each flavor), and even my kids love them!

4. Foam Roller - It may seem like the most simple piece of workout equipment, but there are so many benefits for your body, including better muscle recovery, when you use a foam roller. I use it often due to sore muscles from exercise, but it also helps me relax my upper back & shoulders when I’m holding tension due to stress/anxiety. It’s important to learn how to use it properly, but if you’re looking for one… check out this medium density, full-length one that I love.

5. Mpow1 Bluetooth Headphones - I wear these suckers almost everyday, whether for podcasts, audiobooks, training videos, etc… I can move around the house from chore to chore OR workout OR just work while listening & block out background noise with these comfy headphones on my head. There’s a variety of colors, a charge lasts a while, & it’s easy to charge. You may love these or they could make a great gift!

6. Handcrafted Elderberry Syrup from Harbin Hollow - It’s important to me to provide quality, whole food nutrients to my family (especially my kids) as often as possible to build healthy cells & healthy habits, and even though the jury is split on the use of elderberry syrup… it’s certainly more helpful than harmful to consume elderberry syrup to boost immunity & reduce symptoms of cold & flu that could possibly be experienced! Harbin Hollow is a company created by a mom, who also happens to be a Nutrition Coach & close friend of mine, who was frustrated with the lack of clean elderberry products. So many brands include unnecessary ingredients, added sugar & food dyes. Michele Harbin uses 6 ingredients with MANY health benefits per indgredient, combined into a quality, tasty syrup. My twin boys actually love it so much that they always ask for more. I am a local supplier of HH Elderberry Syrup or you can order from their website.

7. Thrive Market - I love shopping online, especially for groceries that are organic, made with clean ingredients, & more natural at a good price! You get your first shipment without a membership, and if you like it there’s a one-time a year membership fee. Each shipment $49 & over results in free shipping, and I order at least once a month to supplement my small-town grocery store options with these health food online options. I even get some bath & beauty products from them as well!

8. Crystal Natural Deodorant Stick - There’s a shift towards using more natural products on & around your body to reduce your exposure to toxins… in the same vein that eating organic food reduces your consumption of toxins. Unfortunately, deodorant is one of those products that most of us use every day that includes ingredients like aluminum as a main ingredient. I’m here to tell you it won’t be the same, but I’ve been pleasantly surprised by the effectiveness of this Crystal deodorant… and I want to keep trying multiple brands as well! I find it easier to put your body through the shift from conventional to natural deodorant during the winter (colder) months, so if you’ve been wanting to try it, maybe this one will work for you.

9. Butcher Box - I’m still a meat eater, but I’ve learned how important it is that the meat you DO consume be high quality. What the animals ate when alive, you are also eating after cooking their meat, and many animals consume things you definitely would not intentionally consume. I prefer paying a little extra for humanely-treated, grass-fed AND grass-finished, high quality meat & just eat less of it overall. It doesn’t hurt that Butcher Box delivers right to your door! We have our subscription set to every other month, it’s super easy to adjust shipping dates, box preferences, etc online, and when you take advantage of certain promos… you could end up with bacon for life added for free in each box (for example). We usually get the mixed box, and we can tell the difference in the taste due to the quality!

10. The Universe Has Your Back - This book is one I’ve listened to multiple times on Audible, and it helps me shift in a better direction each time I do! If you don’t know Gabrielle Bernstein, you need to get to know her. She’s released several books and is a great spiritual guide. Whether you’re new to the “woo woo” of meditation & spirit guides or are deep into your practice… this book is one that I think everyone should have in their personal library!

11. Avocado Peeler 3-in-1 Tool Avocados are a great source of healthy fat & pretty versatile with adding to meals or eating as a snack itself! I had an unfortunate incident with a sharp knife & an avocado, and this tool was gifted to me by a friend… and it’s awesome! Keep those fingers & hands safe in the kitchen by having the proper tools!

Thank you for checking out my favorite things from this year! I do have a product affiliation with some of the products mentioned because I love them so much, which does result in a small earning percentage for me at ZERO cost to you if you do purchase those particular products. Never hesitate to ask me questions for give me feedback. I’d love to hear about your favorite things right now and if you try anything from my list!

xoxo, BarefootFitJess
